Logging Cable

Logging Cable (also known as Wireline) serves as the critical link between surface recording equipment and downhole logging tools.

It is responsible for supplying power to downhole instruments and transmitting high-precision formation data in real-time, while also acting as the primary load-bearing member to support the weight of the tool string.

Our logging cables feature a dual-layer, counter-helically wound high-strength galvanized steel wire construction, ensuring exceptional tensile strength and superior torque balance.

Components Material Options Technical Functions
Conductor
Tinned Copper / Silver-plated Copper
Core for signal and power; plating prevents vulcanization and enhances conductivity.
Insulation
PP, ETFE (Tefzel), PFA (Teflon)
High dielectric strength; ensures signal stability in environments up to 315°C (600°F).
Shielding & Filler
Copper Braid / Conductive Plastic
Eliminates EMI between conductors to ensure high-frequency data integrity.
Inner Armor
Galvanized Steel Wires
Primary load-bearing layer; counter-helically wound to cancel torque under tension.
Outer Armor
IPS, GEIPS, SS, Monel
Outermost protection; endures wellbore abrasion and provides ultimate breaking strength.
